Dr Rustim Moosa

Dr Moosa is a specialist in Prosthodontics. His special interests include advanced full mouth implant reconstructions, rehabilitation of worn and failing dentition, aesthetic dentistry, complete dentures and maxilla-facial prosthetics.

After graduating as a general dentist from the University of the Western Cape in 1990, he opened a general practice in the northern suburbs of Cape Town (alongside his father, a medical doctor).

During this period, he acted as a part-time clinical tutor in all aspects of prosthetic and restorative dentistry to undergraduate dental students at both local dental schools.

After eight years in this practice, he moved to Peterborough, England where he joined a large group practice.

There he performed all aspects of general dentistry on both NHS and private patients.  

He returned to Cape Town in mid-2002 to begin Specialist Prosthodontic training at the University of Stellenbosch at Tygerberg Hospital and graduated in mid-2006 from the University of the Western Cape (after the merger of the Stellenbosch and Western Cape Dental Schools).
